First of all my apologies for being late for this report .
Every year we initiate the process of enlisting girls for next session in December of previous year . Whole process is done de-novo since we evaluate the performance of old girls along with new ones so that the scholarship girls keep on improving .Some schools which do not cooperate or their general standard of education is too poor ,are also left out .Applications are invited and written test are conducted in all the schools and designated centres. This process takes lot of time since it coincides with various Educational Boards exams and internal exams of schools. We try to adjust with schools .This time more than 1000+ girls appeared in tests . Those girls who get at least 50 % marks in our tests are selected for scholarship .Further , interviews with their parents were conducted in various colleges to asses their eligibility as per poverty consideration and desire to study at least till 12th standard . Whole process took around four months . New girls are asked to open the bank accounts since scholarship amount is deposited in banks only giving directly to beneficiary girls . Opening bank accounts of girls is little difficult since bank officials are not very cooperative. Poor illiterate persons face lot of difficulty and we intervene number of times helping them in this process . Now the first list has been finalised and about 50 more girls will be joining second list after opening bank accounts.1st quarter scholarship amount of 1500/- per girl has been released to about 700+ girls .

We have travelled a long way from scholarship to 15 girls to 800+ girls today . Starting from Panipat ,Haryana now GyanJyoti has opened new chapters in Greater Noida ,UP and Ashiana (Alwar) ,Rajasthan .
It has all been possible due to help and support of my friends and sponsors . We sincerely thank all of you . My dedicated team of trustees have selflessly untiringly worked towards the cause.
