As we prepare to bid farewell to 2025 and welcome in 2026, I extend my best wishes for a successful and fulfilling New Year to all.
With three-quarters of the academic year behind us, we proudly recognize our achievements. We have distributed scholarships of ₹4,500 each to 700 eligible girl students, and our recent school visits have highlighted the remarkable progress of the GyanJyoti girls.
The final installment of scholarships will be issued in January 2026. Our preparations for the upcoming academic year are already in motion. We have called upon all schools to submit the names of girls who have achieved a minimum of 60% in their home examinations and belong to the economically weaker section (EWS) of society.
We will conduct a scholarship assessment test for students in classes 4 through 8 who are recommended by their schools. For students in classes 9 and 10, selections will be based on their home examination performance. Simultaneous assessments will take place across our GyanJyoti chapters in Panipat, Greater Noida, and Bhiwandi, with approximately 1,200 students expected to take part. Those scoring 60% and above will be invited for interviews alongside their parents, and the final list will be ready by the end of March 2026.
Since its founding in 2015, GyanJyoti has emerged as a beacon of opportunity, and we proudly celebrate a decade of transformative achievements. Our students are not just pursuing higher education; they are shaping the future as engineers, healthcare professionals, educators, and military personnel. One inspiring example is Kirti, the daughter of a driver, who achieved an impressive 97% in her 12th-grade examinations and is pursuing her studies at Kurukshetra University, setting her sights on the Indian Administrative Services examination. One of our Trustees, Mrs Komal Goel, is giving her all the financial and moral support.
GyanJyoti is poised to extend financial assistance for higher education, fueled by the support we receive from our sponsors and well-wishers. Currently, around 700 girls benefit from the GyanJyoti scholarship program, and we are determined to expand our reach to more schools in the upcoming year.
